About the partner organisations
Nexus Institute is a German organisation that designs and facilitates participatory processes for transparent and sustainable decision-making by combining research, advisory services, and strategic development.
DemocracyX is a Danish organisation that develops research-based methods for systemic change and supports actors in involving citizens as co-creators in the green transition.
Deliberativa is a Spanish organisation that strengthens democracy by supporting the implementation of deliberative processes in political systems at multiple levels.
Sortition Foundation is an international organisation that works with democratic lotteries to create representative citizens’ assemblies and develops tools for more inclusive participation.
Purpose of the consortium
The purpose of the consortium is to collaborate in strengthening democracy in Europe. Together, we work to support deliberative processes taking place within the European Union. One of the key objectives is to design and implement the European Commission’s citizens’ assemblies.
During spring 2026, the consortium is working on the design and implementation of the European Commission’s citizens’ assembly on preparedness. Digidem Lab has acted as an advisor in the design phase and is involved in facilitating the assembly during its implementation.
