The course in local organizing has started

Digidem Lab’s YH course in Community Organising has now started again – a professional development programme tailored for those with experience and a passion for creating positive social change.

The highly regarded YH course in Community Organising is back. In this course, participants gain knowledge of the Community Organising framework, its theories, and key concepts. The programme, which provides 30 YH credits, can be combined with work, and participants work on cases from their own organizations, addressing challenges such as member-led organizing, developing local leaders, mapping power, building sustainable structures, and working strategically for long-term impact.

The Community Organising course is organized by Digidem Lab and Nätverkstan in collaboration with international partners in the field of Community Organising. The course is funded by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education and the Västra Götaland Region.

The course has been developed together with Save the Children, the Church of Sweden (Diocese of Gothenburg), Folkets Hus och Parker, Frihamnsdagarna, Navet in Bergsjön, Saqmi, PAGE 28, Positiva Gruppen Göteborg, and Göthenburgo. Its content is based on the challenges these organizations face in their daily work, as well as their identified needs for collaboration and knowledge development.
