At a time when public discourse is shifting, resources are shrinking, and the infrastructure of democracy is being questioned, people’s engagement is growing. This course gives you the tools and strategies to meet today’s challenges.
During the programme, you will gain knowledge of the Community Organising framework, including its theories and key concepts. You will engage with both theory and practice, learning concrete methods and seeing examples from Sweden, the USA, Hungary, Germany, Colombia, and more. Experienced organizers share their successes and mistakes – showing how civil society can build collective power.
The course can be combined with work, and you will work on cases from your own organization, tackling challenges such as member-led organizing, developing local leaders, mapping power, building sustainable structures, and working strategically for long-term impact.
